My biggest fear

What is my biggest fear?
What is your biggest fear?
What is fear?
Do people tend to fear the unkown as opposed to the known?
Is the only thing to fear, really fear itself?
What causes one to feel fear?
What are the chemical processes that tell us that we are afraid of something?
What occurs in the body when one is afraid?

  1. Some thoughts to some of your questions.

Personally, my biggest fear would have to be the death of my father. He is my hero in life and losing him would hit me harder than anything.

Fear is defined as "the feeling or condition of being afraid".

I think people do fear the unknown much more than the known. I believe this is due to the fact that we can find explainations and take precautions to the things we know but there's a sense of what I would describe as "helplessness" in the unknown.

Do we really fear, fear? Or is fear even real? Could fear just be something we are told we're supposed to have? Is it just something we create subconsciously? I'd be interested in the root of fear.

For me, when I'm afraid my heart races and I feel anxious.
